Board of Supervisors



The Board of Supervisors is comprised of seven elected officials. Each is qualified to serve not only by their desire to protect and preserve Scott County's natural resources but also by their background and expertise.

Youth Programs & Scholarships


Conservation Writing and Jim Claypool Art Contest


The Conservation District has current Conservation Writing and Jim Claypool Art Contest tabloids. Each year the tabloid focuses on a different conservation area. Scott County elementary students can participate in the art contest while middle school and high school students participate in the writing contest. All art and writing entries must be submitted to Scott County Conservation District by December 1st of the current year. The County level winners receive $25, the Regional winners receive $50, and State winners receive $250 First place, $150 Second place and $50 Third place. Tabloids contain additional information and rules for the art and writing contest.

Scholarships


Three scholarships are awarded annually by the Scott County conservation District, each with a $500 value:


Frederick P. Neuville Honorary Scholarship

Robert M. Gregory Memorial Scholarship

Betty "Granny" Graves Memorial Scholarship


Three scholarships are also offered by the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts Auxiliary, each with a $1,000 value:


#1) High school senior about to enter college

#2) College Student continuing

#3) Non-traditional student
